Juniperus horizontalis 'Andorra Compacta' is a low-growing, dense evergreen conifer valued for its neat, rounded form and year-round visual appeal. Typically growing to 30–45 cm in height and spreading 1.2–1.5 meters wide, it forms a tidy, ground-hugging mat that’s perfect for covering bare soil, cascading over retaining walls, or adding structure to rockeries and borders.

The soft, scale-like foliage is a silvery-grey to light green during spring and summer, gradually shifting to attractive purplish-bronze tones in colder months, adding seasonal interest. Its uniform growth and compact nature make it especially suitable for formal and low-maintenance landscaping.

‘Andorra Compacta’ thrives in full sun and well-drained soils. It is drought-tolerant once established, resistant to deer and pests, and requires little pruning. Its spreading habit also helps control erosion on banks and slopes.

A reliable, easy-care evergreen, Juniperus horizontalis 'Andorra Compacta' is ideal for both functional and decorative planting in gardens and public landscapes.
