Juniperus horizontalis 'Prince of Wales' is a hardy, fast-spreading evergreen ground cover conifer, prized for its low profile and attractive seasonal color changes. Reaching just 15–20 cm in height, it spreads up to 2–2.5 meters wide, forming a dense, weed-suppressing carpet ideal for banks, walls, and large landscape beds.

The foliage is soft, finely textured, and bright green during spring and summer. In autumn and winter, it takes on a striking purplish-bronze hue, adding winter interest to the garden. Its natural prostrate growth and trailing branches make it a perfect choice for erosion control or filling in large open spaces.

‘Prince of Wales’ thrives in full sun and well-drained soils. It is drought-tolerant once established, extremely low maintenance, and resistant to pests, diseases, and deer. It also performs well in both urban and coastal environments.

This cultivar is ideal for gardeners seeking a rugged, ornamental, and maintenance-free evergreen ground cover.
