Juniperus procumbens 'Nana', also known as Dwarf Japanese Garden Juniper, is a popular evergreen groundcover prized for its compact, mat-forming habit and attractive blue-green foliage. Growing just 15–30 cm tall and spreading 1.5–2 meters wide, it hugs the ground with tightly packed branches that arch and twist, giving it a natural, sculptural look.

The foliage is dense, sharp, and needle-like, with a striking bluish-green tone that holds well throughout the year. In colder climates, it may take on a slight purplish hue during winter for added seasonal interest. Its texture and growth pattern make it a favorite in rock gardens, Asian-style landscapes, bonsai, and retaining wall edges.

‘Nana’ thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. It is drought-tolerant once established, resistant to deer and pests, and very low maintenance. Occasional pruning can help maintain shape or control spread, but it naturally grows into a tidy, elegant ground cover.

Highly versatile and durable, Juniperus procumbens 'Nana' is a staple plant for landscapes needing year-round coverage, texture, and contrast without extra work
