Cupressocyparis × leylandii, commonly known as Leyland Cypress, is a vigorous, tall-growing evergreen conifer widely used for creating hedges, privacy screens, and windbreaks. It features soft, scale-like green foliage that forms a dense, feathery texture, providing excellent coverage and noise reduction.

One of the fastest-growing conifers in cultivation, ‘Leylandii’ can grow up to 1 meter per year under optimal conditions, reaching heights of 15–20 meters if left untrimmed. When regularly pruned, it forms a neat, compact hedge with a clean, formal appearance.

Leylandii thrives in full sun or partial shade and adapts well to a range of soil types, as long as they are well-drained. It is tolerant of wind, salt spray, and urban pollution, making it a versatile and resilient choice for both rural and urban gardens.
