Thuja Occ "Brabant"

Thuja occidentalis 'Brabant' is a popular cultivar of the Eastern Arborvitae, known for its vigorous growth, upright columnar form, and dense foliage. It grows quickly to form a solid, natural privacy screen or windbreak, reaching heights of up to 4–6 meters and widths of 1.5–2 meters.

The foliage is composed of flat, bright green scales arranged in flattened sprays, giving the plant a lush, feathery texture. ‘Brabant’ is:

• Cold hardy and tolerant of urban pollution

• Adaptable to a range of soils, though it prefers moist, well-drained conditions

• Relatively low maintenance, needing only occasional pruning to maintain shape

• Deer resistant

This cultivar is excellent for:

• Tall privacy hedges and screens

• Foundation planting

• Windbreaks in gardens and larger landscapes
