Chamaecyparis lawsoniana ‘Ellwoodii’ is a slow-growing, upright conifer known for its dense, bushy form and attractive silvery-blue to blue-green foliage. This dwarf cultivar typically reaches up to 1.5–2.5 meters in height over many years, making it ideal for small gardens, patio containers, or as a feature plant in mixed borders.

Its soft, scale-like foliage is arranged in neat sprays, creating a textured appearance that adds structure and color throughout the year. ‘Ellwoodii’ prefers well-drained soil and thrives in full sun to partial shade. It is low maintenance, drought-tolerant once established, and retains its compact, conical shape naturally without pruning.

A popular choice during the holiday season, it is also used decoratively as a living Christmas tree.
